Google allows SSL encrypted & secure web search

Let’s assume that you’re setting in a cafe or a hotel lobby enjoying the free open high speed WiFi surfing the web, But you’re a little bit annoyed because you want to make a private search that the hotel or the local cafe don’t see.
That was a serious problem for some, Until Google came up with a solution!

With google, Now you can search the web more securely with SSL encryption!
Just go to.. (Note the “S” in “https”)

What does SSL basically do?

SSL is Secure Sockets Layer, Which basically encrypts the data or the information sent from your computer to the web. Which is usually recognized by the “https” in the URL or a lock icon appearing in your browser.

So when you use Google’s new secure search, a new encrypted connection between you and google is made, in which all the terms you search for can travel. This encrypted & secure connection prevents third parties from spying or looking at what you’re doing or what is being sent from your computer to the web.

This new service is still in Beta; As a result you won’t be able to search images and all that, Only web search is enabled now.
